Alles Klar ;) 2 Months in Germany

Hey everybody! Just wanted to give you a quick post that I am doing fine here in Germany. I have been so busy that I almost forgot that I had a blog! So in 2 months I can tell you that I have done so many things and been in so many places, 4 countries! Holland, Belgium, France, and of course Germany;) I was on vacation in southern germany for a week and a couple days in Belgium and France. It was a great experience! Southern germany was also something special...let´s just say I am pretty much a wine expert.

Also, my german host family is awesome. I have really...great luck. I pretty much feel integrated in the family and integrated into the culture. Getting used to the culture wasn´t too hard, but sometimes I can´t get over how small everything is compared the the United States. Also in germany people don´t drive there cars as much. I can pretty much walk everywhere in my town and if I want I can take the bus or the train to visit friends.

One last thing.... I will post some FOTOS for you all here in the next few days! Hope I can find the time :D

Bis Bald...

20 Tage!

Just about 20 days until I get on the plane for Washington DC where I will spend three days with 49 other CBYX winners. As of now I know that we will visit the senate and German embassy. It's going to be great to see a little bit more how our government works. I just keep counting the days... Stay tuned for all of my photos from DC ;)

Nur eine Monate

Hey guys! Hope everyone is having a wonderful summer...I know I am:) I can't believe how fast it has passed by. In one month I will be in DC starting the greatest adventure of my life! These past few weeks I have just been trying to get my basic things out of the way. Bought my luggage, some clothes, getting my ACT in Germany signed up for, and talking a lot with my host family...especially my host sister Heidi! She is so nice and helpful. I have also been working a lot and saving up some spending money for myself. Hopefully I get that camera for my birthday so I can take lots of great photos! I can't wait to share all of my experiences with you guys this coming year.

Bis Spaeter! :]

Congress Bundestag Youth Exchange winner, host family and more!

Hi everyone! I am Terrence Morris and I am from the little town of Marietta, Ohio. I remember last September when I started applying to study abroad in Germany for a year through Congress-Bundestag(AFS). I never thought that I would have won this amazing scholarship! In just a few months I will be in D.C. for the orientation for three days and then flying to Germany! I recieved my host family a month ago and they seem really great! I will have a few host siblings, but they will live in Maastricht, Holland because they go to the University there. This is kind of a bummer that I won't have host siblings at home, but I will get to go to Maastricht a lot and visit them! It seems like a wonderful city from all the pictures! But anyway I will live in the middle of Germany in a town called, Osterode am Harz.

On this blog I hope to post a lot of picutres of my year living in Germany and maybe some videos too;) Below are some pictures of my house and a little bit of Osterode am Harz :) Enjoy!

My new House!!!!!!

The town of Osterode am Harz! It looks so awesome!
